The story of the game is told in six distinct chapters, with developers slowly releasing them on the PC platform as they are developed with powerful Unreal Engine tools. The primary ways to do that are to explore the environments, find other survivors, discover items, and solve a large variety of puzzles. Now with locked main gates and a crazy nun roaming the school grounds, the player must find any way to escape this dangerous situation. Immediately after starting Evil Nun: The Broken Mask, the players will realize that the entire religious summer camp they enter into is a hoax. Due to the dramatically upgraded presentation style, players are required to have a bit stronger PC hardware than many other indie horror titles require, but this approach has enabled developers to more successfully build the unnerving atmosphere and effective scares that can only elsewhere be found in expensive AAA releases from large publishers. Evil Nun: The Broken Mask enables players to explore school grounds from a first-person perspective, with gameplay and visuals powered by the highly capable Unreal Engine 4. ![]() Originally developed for mobile platforms in 2018, this game received a full conversion to PC platform where it was released in late 2022 in Early Access form, enabling players from all around the world to test a dramatically upgraded version of the game that features dramatically upgraded visuals, new puzzles, scenes, and ways to play.
